MorganFranklin Corporation, a business and technology solutions provider to government and business leaders on high-stakes financial, operational, and IT issues, recently announced the appointment of James H. Hunt to the company’s advisory board. As MorganFranklin continues to grow in the marketplace, Hunt will help promote the company’s mission through his advisory background in strategic and tactical planning ranging from market penetration and expansion to cost reduction and restructuring.
Hunt currently serves as managing partner at the MITA Group, a public affairs and business strategy consultancy based in Washington, D.C. He has been retained by a number of large companies seeking strategic guidance regarding potential acquisition targets and integration planning. Previously, Hunt served as president of Capgemini Technologies, LLC and was the founder, president, and CEO of Ernst & Young Technologies. Additionally, he served as managing director of the system integration practice at Price Waterhouse, and was the founder, CEO, and president of BDS, Inc. He also has experience as a consultant, providing businesses with insights and strategies for working with the U.S. government.
Hunt, who possesses extensive experience in building technology companies and angel investing, has invested in and assisted with the startup of more than two dozen companies over the past 20 years, focusing on technology-oriented investments and products or services in the federal government markets.
Hunt holds a B.S. in photographic science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.A. in marketing from the University of Notre Dame. He also serves as an adjunct professor and director of entrepreneurship at Georgetown University. Additionally, Hunt has served as chairman of the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) and has been actively involved in industry panels and forums for the past 25 years.
“We are very excited to have Jim join our board of advisors,” said Robert Morgan, MorganFranklin CEO. “He brings a diverse background and entrepreneurial experience in technology and consulting in both government and commercial sectors. He will provide us with sound strategic advice as we continue to expand and grow our business.”
