Leading business consulting and technology solutions company MorganFranklin Consulting announced today the appointment of eight Directors serving commercial and government clients across numerous industries. Melaine Amendola, Chris Clapp, Isabelle Dikland, Dionne “DeeDee” Jacobs, and Shawn Martin were promoted in Q1 2015, and James Jordan, Bhavish Madurai, and Christian Stockel were welcomed to the firm between Q4 2014 and Q1 2015. The news comes on the heels of the firm’s recent promotion of four company leaders to the level of Managing Director.

Melaine Amendola leads MorganFranklin’s Department of the Navy (DoN) and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) accounts, with experience in financial management accounting operations, financial statements preparation and analysis, internal controls and A-123, audit readiness, and systems support. She is deeply versed in U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) financial management and regulations, including the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Plan, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Amendola supported DoD agencies at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Booz Allen Hamilton. She is a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) and member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC). Consulting magazine recently named Amendola a “Rising Star of the Profession” in its annual list of the 35 best young talents in the consulting profession under age 35.
Chris Clapp is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with eight years of experience in technical accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and transaction services. He has extensive experience assisting clients with initial public offerings (IPOs) and advising on technical accounting areas including stock-based compensation expense, revenue recognition, capitalized software, and purchase accounting. Clapp has project managed numerous IPOs and secondary offerings for high-growth technology companies. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, he served at PwC and was recognized by the Virginia Board of Accountancy for earning one of the state’s top 10 highest CPA scores in 2007.
Isabelle Dikland possesses more than 10 years of financial management experience and has led large project teams addressing high-profile, complex projects for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Millennium Challenge Corporation, Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), and the departments of the Interior, Agriculture, Transportation, and Labor. She is experienced in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)/Office of Management and Budget (OMB) No. A-123, Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO), U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government (Green Book), Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), Federal Managers’ Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA), Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Act (IPERA), Improper Payments Information Act (IPIA), and Do Not Pay. Dikland’s expertise spans performance reporting, Agency Financial Reports (AFR), policy and procedure development, strategic planning development, budget and performance integration, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
DeeDee Jacobs possesses more than 14 years of public accounting, advisory, consulting, and audit experience encompassing audit remediation, readiness, and sustainment activities with property, plant, and equipment (PP&E). She has served federal agencies including the DoD, Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as commercial and tax clients. Jacobs previously served in PwC’s Assurance Washington Federal Practice. She is a CDFM and Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA), as well as an active member of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., Chapters, ASMC, National Military Intelligence Association (NMIA), Institute for Internal Controls (IIC), and Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge #1 Washington, D.C.
James Jordan is a CPA and seasoned finance professional with experience in problem solving, process development and improvement, and research of complex and unique accounting and disclosure issues. He is highly skilled in all aspects of SEC and financial reporting, and he is well versed in internal control requirements and procedures. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Jordan served as Assistant Controller and Director of SEC Reporting at General Motors Company (GM). He began his career at Deloitte & Touche LLP and later worked at Resources Global Professionals, where he served clients including Sotheby’s, Cendant Corporation, and AT&T.
Bhavish Madurai specializes in business and IT strategic planning and execution, technology leadership in digital enterprise solutions (big data and analytics, cloud, and mobility), program management, enterprise IT governance, and organizational processes for large-scale change initiatives. He is an award-winning senior executive with 20 years of experience advising on and delivering global, high-value, enterprise-level business and IT transformation strategies and target operating model-driven initiatives in Fortune 100 and FTSE 50 firms across the commercial and public sectors. Madurai is a recognized thought leader, speaker, author, and corporate blogger with published insights on disruptive innovation driven by digital solutions, IT governance, enterprise architecture, and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Prior to joining MorganFranklin, he served as Senior Partner and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for various practices at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) across North America and the UK. Previously, he served at Cognizant UK, British Airports Authority, and National Grid.
Shawn Martin is a certified PMP with more than 15 years of experience successfully delivering enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, finance transformation, and shared services initiatives across numerous industries. He has significant international experience managing projects supporting business operations and accounting with optimized financial systems as the foundation for successful transformation and control frameworks. Martin’s areas of expertise include general ledger and reporting, chart of accounts (COA) design, consolidations, asset management, and shared services.
Christian Stockel is a CPA and CGFM with more than 20 years of experience leading federal engagements. He specializes in financial management consulting, financial statement audits, financial analysis, business process improvement and transformation, internal control assessment and testing, and systems requirements analysis, design, and implementation. Stockel has extensive knowledge of federal accounting and budgetary policies and practices, A-123/SOX and internal control testing, CFO Act compliance, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, and audit readiness programs. He is well versed in U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL), DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR), Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), and GAO Financial Audit Manual (FAM)/Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM).
